My Background

I was always deeply reflective. When my Grandfather Lou died, when I was 9, I had to ask myself what the point of life was? Did we really just disappear?

At 17, I had my first emotional breakdown. I started medication for depression and anxiety, which I continued on for 11 years. But the underlying negativity, fear, and overcast nature continued and would always come to the surface, sometimes stronger than others. I researched meditation and spiritual traditions extensively for self-treatment.

Finding Judiasm, the supportive community, and for the first time faith in a higher power, I spent 10 years in the orthodox tradition. I visited Israel and found a home in the communities of Passaic, New Jersey, Meor, The Lower East Side, Brooklyn, Boston, and Beth Jacob in Oakland California.

Thrown further into turmoil, by losing a job and being totally a drift in my career and personal relationship, I hit bottom. I was going to therapy 3 times a week in 2017. It was in this context, that when I came to India for my friend, Addy’s wedding, that everything changed.

With a yogi’s blessing, something activated deep within me. I began to experience a flow of energy. After years of cultivation, I felt a strong flow throughout my body: a movement like water coming in through my brow, out my fingertips and crown. 

While I long for a conscious enlightenment and to have the concentration and vision abilities, it became clear in an unexpected way, that the healing capacity was already there. I could changed people’s lives. And with all the I had be through, I love nothing more than to lift people up, show them there is a way to change, and give a brighter tomorrow.

Professionally, in his prior life, Jonah has been a product manager for fortune 500 companies and completed an MBA from Harvard Business School.
